Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for processing customer orders along with providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members in customer service marketing technical support, marketing, and manufacturing.
Essential Functions:
- Edits orders received EDI and E-mail’s for price and nomenclature
- Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
- Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
- Informs customers of pricing, ship dates, anticipated delays and any other information needed by the customer.
- Enters orders into ERP system to determine total cost for customer.
- Provides timely feedback to the company
- Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
- Prepares invoices and shipping documents such as export papers and commercial invoices
- Answers questions from customers or individuals on how product operates or directs them to the person able to assist them.
- Creates no –charge shippers for customer replacements.
- Obtains shipping charges as required
- Issues credits to customers

Work Environment:
This Job operates in a office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets.

This is a sedentary role. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workdays. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Position Type:
This is a full-time position.
Required Education and Experience:
- College degree preferred
- High school diploma or GED diploma, or 6 to 12 months’ related experience
- 1-3 years Customer service experience in chemical industry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP experience with Sage or similar systems
